Synopsis :

Gupta family  is a well known Marwari family in Kanpur for their  ‘Gupta Sweet 

Stall’ . Most adored for their delicious  Sweets . Madan Gupta , aged 70 , very 

much respected in the locality, owned the shop. His two sons, Ravi and Anjan , 

supported Madan at the Sweet Shop . Ravi is a Mechanical Engineer by profession.
 Seema Gupta is the eldest daughter of Gupta family . A very determined girl and 

daughter of Ravi and Puja. Puja is a loving mother , home maker and a great support 

to her husband .  Seema is the apple of their eye. Yet she is brought up with great 

family values.

Seema is ambitious to make a career in the Management, despite being upset about 

the fact that she will not graduate her Masters from IIT. She is a caring sister 

and guide to her brothers Kavi and Gagan.

Her father Ravi , dreams of being an Enterprenuer . Ravi starts a Travel Agency 
Called Seema Travels Pvt Ltd,  while Seema was still in her final semester . 

Dreaming big ,Ravi invests a considerable amount from all family savings and took 

big loans from many Banks.

Seema gets selected for a reputed Company for the post of Busiuness Development 

Manager.  Her boy friend ,Pulkit works in a MNC as IT Analyst . While Seema moves 

up the ladder of success , she finds her father struggling to step on further in 

the Travel business due to various reasons . As days pass, Ravi gets into 

depression. Puja fails to rebuild his confidence.
Realizing the need to transform her father’s business into a success story, Seema 
takes initiative. With her talent , skills and knowledge , this  young girl 
supports her family in Crisis  . Seema turns out to be a Role Model to all young 
graduates and proves how to create opportunities instead of waiting for it to knock 

the door.

Story :

It was  21st July 2011 , a fresh  morning ,  while Seema was in deep sleep .
The phone beeps and Seema wakes up to see.
 “ Good Morning Shona “ says the sender  .
“Morning Sweets “replies Seema . It was 08.00 am . Yet Seema was not geared up to 

start her day. She looks at her cell and smiles for Pulkit’s morning wish. Ever 

since Seema met Pulkit , she has been experiencing a new happiness in her life. 

Initial “hi , hello “ to “Shona ,Sweet heart” , Seema and Pulkit have become so 

inseparable .  They have been in a happy relationship.
Seema was still on  bed with a thought that haunted her every morning- “ Why wasn’t 

 I so fortunate to to puruse MBA from IIT ?“. She had graduated in BE  from IITK 

(Indian Institute of Technology,Kanpur), but could not pursue MBA from the same 

reputed University.

Her family and Pulkit had consoled her by saying  ‘One should create opportunities 

rather than waiting for it to come’  Every morning she would get the same thought 

and these words would boost her morale .

By then, her mother Puja breaks her thoughts  – ‘Seema , utho ‘.
Seema pulls herself back to normal  and notices Pulkit’s messages  -“Hey Shona, are 

we meeting ?? Your internal exams are over I guess ..” She replies to him to meet 

by 12 noon and gets back to routine .

A small chat stall, near Naveen Market  was their  meeting spot. Seema as usual , 

stepped out , flaunting her open hair . Her tall Stature , fair complexion would  

attract any guy towards her . She was a great Chat lover.
Seema loved Shopping and  Pulkit had  become aware of every chat stall, shopping 

center in the City , as he accompanied Seema on every occasion .Pulkit felt 

fortunate to have such a nice girl in his life .
Ravi and Anjan have always been two proud sons of Madan. With diverse thoughts and 

a great passion and urge to be a business man,  Ravi always looked for an 

opportunity to start his own business.
The next morning , while the clock ticked 9.00  , Puja arrives at the dining table 

to serve breakfast to Ravi.  Ravi kept watching TV while he had Pav Bhaji. A famous 

news channel hosted a show about a renowned Entreprenuer, Vikas Tripathi , who was 

awarded the “Businessman of the Year” for his achievement in  Automobiles  Sector . 

 Geared up with the story of Vikas , Ravi realizes he had piled up sufficient money 

for Initial Investment and with other resources and materials in place , he plans 

to start a CAB service and proposes this idea with his younger brother Anjan  .
Ravi arrives at Garrage where Anjan works. On a chat , sipping Tea , both start to 

converse.  
Ravi -‘Anjan , I have decided to start a travel agency to provide CAB services . We 

can invest  a fair share of amount and in return, get good profits’.
Anjan always believed , his brother was well organized , patient , thoughtful and 

correct.

 Without questioning any further about investment , Anjan said - ‘Good idea. But 

how can we manage to look after the Sweet Shop and CAB services as well?’
Ravi- ‘Currently , dad and you are looking after the Sweet Shop . Dad can manage it 

alone for few more years .And I want you to look after the Travels . I will manage 

to arrange for Investment. But all I want you to do is ‘management’ and I’m pretty 

confident you will do it.‘
Anjan knew it was not an easy task to manage a new business . He knew his strengths 

and weakness as it is concerned with Management. Yet , Anjan wanted to support Ravi 

for his confidence in him.
After few discussions about the pros and cons on this idea , they both propose the 

new business idea with Madan.
Madan is a very jovial person by nature . But in terms of business , he is very 

judgemental and a good critic. Madan advises Ravi to wait for finance as Madan was 

expecting a huge amount of claim to be reaching him during the month of Jan – 2012 

from an Insurance Company .


 Under Madan’s  sheer guidance , Initially with 50 cabs, 80 drivers and few other 

resources  ‘Seema World Travels Pvt Ltd’ gets inaugurated on Feb , 8th – 2012. Seema Travels 

begins to make its way . Gupta family enjoyed the inaugural function. The same day 

Pulkit informs Seema that his family is undoubtedly happy to accept her as their 

daughter in law.

Seema was also in delight  for two Big reasons – for having seen the inception of ‘ 

Seema World Travels Pvt Ltd’ and for having Pulkit in her life .
During vacations , she managed to take up business and sales courses  along with 

Summer Internship ,which would help her design a better career and make her fully 

equipped for her profession.  Seema was already building a way for her and growing 

to her best .

During the month of May , Seema  got into job in ‘Bright Innovation Motors’.  

Though the college did not guarantee placements for its students ,through her 

smartness, wit, qualification and skills ,   Seema still made her way into one of 

the leading business firms at kanpur.
Days passed , Seema cleared her Final Exams . On 17th August , 2012 ,she was 

appointed as ‘ BDM’. Her joy went bound less . Seema performed very 

well at Job and learnt practical aspects of business.

On the other hand, Ravi gradually started declining . He could not gain maximum 

profits as estimated from the Travels.  He felt a sense of despair.
When Seema completed one year successfully at her Job, she wished to celebrate this 

, by inviting Pulkit for a treat . They both gather at Rave  Mall  . With so many 

delightful thoughts in mind , Seema recalls how Pulkit  had proposed her .

An year ago, Seema and Pulkit had met each other during April , on  the birthday of 

their mutual friend , Smruti . They had exchanged contact numbers and started 

chatting the very day . Pulkit  fell in love with Seema at first sight . But was 

shy to express.

 On the way to College , Seema would text Pulkit all through her journey . She 

listened to radio all the time . One day , Seema and Pulkit were busy  texting each 

other on phone.
Seema – ‘Hey listen to 104.0 fm’ .
Pulkit- ‘yep.. ‘
Seema – ‘Dil kho gaya ho gaya kisi ka ‘.. both listen the song  till the end ..
Again the RJ announces the next song .
 Pulkit –‘Milke bhi hum na mile tumse na jane kyun … milon k hain phaasle’….
Seema-‘J JJ’ .. continues listening .
Seema-‘turn to 94.3’..
Pulkit –‘ haan.. ‘Tera hone laga hun , khone laga hun .. jab se mila hun … J’  
Seema – ‘ Shining in the fading sun like  a pearl upon the ocean , come on feel me 

. Come and heal me.’….
Both exchange smileys and their inbox flooded with all emoticons ..
 Seema –‘turn to 104 ‘ …
 Pulkit-‘Tune jo na kaha main wo sunta raha ‘..
It was the most celebrated bollywood actress ‘ Katrina kaif’s birthday on 16th July 

 and all stations busy playing romantic songs of the diva .
 Seema –‘ Batao, maine jo na kaha aur tumne jo suna  :P :P‘…
While Pulkit always liked Seema and was looking for an occasion to express his love 

. He takes this situation in his favour .

Pulkit-‘Anjane hai silsile ..’
Seema- ‘????’.
Pulkit-‘Tera hone laga hun ‘
Seema –‘Hey hero, bolo na .. I know u like these songs’
Pulkit-‘ Dil kho gaya .. ho gaya kisi ka ‘…
Seema was then feeling irritated and says ‘ Tum pagal ho’
Pulkit –‘ Yes baby .. I’m mad in your love ‘
Seema was stunned for a moment and did not know how to react . She had also 

developed feelings for Pulkit, but always waited for him to take the first step .
Seema behaved  surprised and says –‘Kya bol rahe ho ??’
Pulkit –‘ Yes darling .. ILU .. And I mean it.. Do u love me? ‘
Seema was on cloud nine when she realized that the very person she loved has 

proposed her .

Pulkit –‘If your answer is  yes , lets meet at Rave Tmrw’
The whole day Seema never replied . The next day happened to be heart throbbing to 

Pulkit as he was not sure of Seema’s reaction .
Pulkit arrives at the mall. Dressed handsome in a Arrow brand White Shirt and faded 

blue Jeans .  Several thoughts were running in Pulkit’s  mind . But Seema did not 

turn up in time . With great disappointment , Pulkit decides to leave .
From no where, Seema appears in a white Salwar , glittering earrings  , open hair  

. She almost appeard like a fairy to Pulkit.
She had been busy buying a watch for her most awaited love and arrived late . On 

the other hand ,She deliberately  wanted to watch fun by  making Pulkit wait for 

her . She gifted him the watch , while Pulkit had got her a bouquet of red roses.
 They both exchange gifts and spend time till evening.
Recollecting her thought s, Seema arrives at the same place for the treat that she 

had invited Pulkit before. After dinner, Pulkit and Seema go on a long drive 

.Pulkit embraces her , pullig her hair behind her ears. His face reflected a proud 

feeling towards Seema . He kissed her forehead and expressed his delight by gifting 

her a Gold pendant .

In the middle of the conversation ,

Pulkit says –‘Seema , I ‘m so happy that you are performing good at your job. But I 

see that Uncle Ravi is quite unhappy these days as the Travels are not doing well. 

I would suggest you could help your dad to manage this better.’

Seema had also been thinking on the same .’Seema Travels’  had been deteriorating  

day by day. Due to lack of exposure and communication , Anjan could not get much 

profits . Ravi could not concentrate both at his work and Travels .

Ravi and Puja always seemed dull . Yet Ravi managed to appear strong in front of 

his daughter as  Seema was just budding in her career . Seema was sharp enough to 

observe this depression in her father. She volunteers to talk to him .

Seema –‘Dad , you seem upset these days.  And I do understand that you are worried 

about our Travels.‘

Ravi-‘hmm..’
Ravi now opens up to his daughter . He continues –‘ I do recognize Anjan’s efforts 

to keep up business . Yet we are not upto the mark . People don’t prefer our Cab 

services in the city . And we are not successful in gaining regular customers as 

yet since the inception of our Travels. Drivers are not regular and punctual at 

work . Enforcing strict work rules are seeming tough , as Anjan lacks commanding 

and I cannot manage them on my own.’
Ravi goes on explaining all his concerns and worries. Hearing this , Seema gets 

awakened and motivated.
Seema  now involves  in the business of ‘Seema Travels’. She carefully plans on 

this . 

 She brings in several changes in the business operations . The Travels launches  a 

new website ‘Seema-Cabs-OnLine.com  ‘ to facilitate easy online booking and to let the 

customers know the cab availability with ease . The website featured all the best 

offers they could avail such as
 Best price deals
single day packages,
Discounts on special days for regular customers .
These were few of Seema’s new ideas for the business.
With her great sense of Networking , she could broadcast and promote her business 

through Facebook and Linked in. She got reviews and responses which made her take 

appropriate steps to meet the customer demands and satisfy them.
Soon , Anjan got educated with Seema’s involvement . He contributed more .
With her business strategy , she sold out the old cars and purchased new ones as 

per the customers preference as conducted in her survey. She enforced strict rules 

at work and hired drivers who could adhere to it and in return gave them a good 

pay.
 Seema-Cabs-OnLine.com  began to flourish. They started receiving too many requests for CAB 

services .
Seema did not want to lose business . She started outsourcing the work and expanded 

the business. Within a few months , Seema Travels turned into ‘Seema Travels 

Private Limited.’
And within an year, they could start four new branches in the city. With this 

success , Ravi felt a sigh of relief and happiness. Gupta’s family witnessed happy 

days .
Without the insight of Seema , it would not be possible to build such a great 

business firm. Had she not thought of looking into her family , while she was on 

the success road in her career , 
Gupta family would not have got back its good days.

Ravi realized his dream coming true and his daughter  driving his passion into 

reality.

Seema , being an Enterpreneur , a caring daughter , a responsible young girl , 

talented and skillful , made her family witness its heyday . Thereafter , not a 

single morning did her thought haunt her . She could prove to herself that not only 

could the IITians , but every talented person with the zeal and passion could turn 

out to be successful.
